Full Description

Did you know colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related deaths in Canada yet is more than 90% curable if detected early?

Colorectal Cancer is Preventable, Treatable and Beatable.

In July 2017, the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada and Colon Cancer Canada joined forces to form Colorectal Cancer Canada (CCC) - a non-profit patient organization dedicated to colorectal cancer awareness and education, supporting patients and their families and advocating on their behalf. CCC takes a creative and innovative approach in achieving its mission as evidenced in their colorectal cancer awareness program endangeredbutts.ca and their promotion of prevention through provincial and territorial screening programs such as The Giant Colon Tour and the Foods That Fight Cancer program.

To date, support for this incredible work has come largely through corporate sponsorships and grants, as well as events such as the annual “Kick Ass Golf Tournament” and national runs. To help broaden their fundraising efforts, CCC is now looking for a Director of Development to join their team. In partnership with the President and Director of Operations, the new Director of Development will be responsible for leading fund development and revenue generating functions both strategically and operationally.

With a proven track record of at least five years fundraising experience, you will be accountable for the creation, implementation, management and evaluation of a fully integrated fund development program that builds CCC’s donor base, increases revenue and enhances the organization’s long-term sustainability. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, can collaborate and manage interpersonal relationships well, and know how and when to engage colleagues to work as a team towards a common goal.

Above all, you understand and appreciate CCC’s mission and will be able to articulate its values and vision passionately to internal and external stakeholders.

How To Apply

If you’re ready to join CCC as its first ever Director of Development and use your leadership skills and fundraising experience to shape the future of what fund development will look like for Colorectal Cancer Canada, please get in touch to ask for a full Information Pack and Job Description by emailing info@charitycareerscanada.com.
