Donation and Database Manager - Role Successfully Filled!

Type: Full Time
Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario
Salary: $37,500 - $42,500
Closing Date: 5pm, August 9th, 2019 (extended from August 2nd)

Full Description

Across Canada and around the world, L’Arche spreads a vision of inclusion and belonging by bringing together people with and without intellectual disabilities to live, work, learn and grow as a community. It’s through this unique model of support that L’Arche has demonstrated that a more just, compassionate and vibrant world emerges for all when people with intellectual disabilities take their place at the table. Supporting this vision is the L’Arche Canada Foundation (LCF) team who work tirelessly to inspire Canadians to invest in a better quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities on a local and global scale.

As part of this moving cause, you will be in charge of managing the full life-cycle of donations – from entering gifts into the database, to preparing tax receipts, to stewardship communications for both new and existing donors. In addition to being responsible for the accuracy of the LCF donor database, you will apply your creativity to managing LCF’s new website, and provide key information for the Foundation’s decision making through regular reports.

To be successful in this position, you will have worked in a similar role for at least three years and be a consummate multi-tasker and problem-solver. Equally comfortable speaking with donors as you are at maintaining and manipulating a database with speed and accuracy, you are a team player who can collaborate and manage interpersonal relationships well within a small team. In peak periods, you know how to prioritize and meet the deadlines for a high volume of work and in slower periods, you are proactive in identifying work and rolling up your sleeves to get it done. In return, LCF will offer you not only a competitive salary and benefits package, but also the invaluable opportunity to work alongside and improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
