• See and understand behaviour as a form of communication. • See and respect the person as an individual first. • See the opportunity to work together to make a difference.

As the hub of knowledge and understanding about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since 1976, Autism Canada believes that there is a real need for Canadians to have a united national voice focusing on the issues that affect individuals living on the spectrum and their families.

Poised and ready for growth, Autism Canada is looking for an experienced senior fundraiser to take the lead on creating a diversified and sustainable fundraising program that will deliver strong income streams and solidify/develop partnerships. Together with a small and committed team across Canada, the new Executive Director will guide the organization in their efforts to:

• Bring awareness through the promotion of understanding of what ASD is and how it affects people in our community. • Advocate by influencing policy and funding that affects individuals on the spectrum and those who support them • Champion initiatives and establish partnerships that add value to the ASD community through action

The ideal applicant for this role will be driven and passionate, with lived or working experience in an organization that supports people with autism or other developmental disorders. In return you will have the opportunity to lead an organization ready to flourish while offering you a great compensation package and the flexibility of being able to work from home – just think about what you can do with the time you’ll save not commuting!
