Blue North Strategies Inc (Blue North) works exclusively in the social sector as a full-service fundraising agency to help nonprofits connect with donors and grow their fundraising revenue. We have worked with a wide variety of clients across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, including international development organizations, hospitals and healthcare, family and children’s services and the arts. Our consulting and agency services are both aimed at delivering predictable and accountable fundraising results and programs. Our business is growing, because we are really good at it.
The General Manager (GM) role is a newly created role that we’re excited to add to our passionate team of go-getting do-gooders. As a member of the Executive team, and supported by three direct reports as well as a diverse collection of individuals who bring with them unmatched innovation and talent, the GM will have full responsibility for studio resource management, delivery excellence, information technology, finance, service process and workflows, long-term profitable growth and planning, human resources, and facilities/logistics.
Thanks to this person, leadership, clients, and staff should all be confident in our ability to deliver high quality work, on time at the agreed upon price. Our staff will have what they need to be successful, and our clients will be happy with the products and services they receive.
To successfully fill this role, we’re looking for someone with at least seven to ten years’ experience in being responsible for managing complex projects, ideally in a direct marketing agency environment. From this experience, you’ll have developed the ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment and will have enjoyed developing strong, trusting relationships across all levels of an agency. Ultimately, you will be an entrepreneurial, goal-oriented and collaborative team player who is not afraid to make change, even when it ruffles feathers.
