Foodbank For over 30 years, The Mississauga Food Bank has been distributing healthy food to those in need. Thousands of individuals and families rely on The Mississauga Food Bank every day. This inspiring charity provides enough food for over 244,000 meals each month through a network of 48 member agencies and uses the latest technology, seeking creative solutions and taking calculated risks.

The working environment is a creative one too. They value the contributions of their staff, so provide a professional work space, up-to-date technology, and a lunchroom with healthy snacks and all the tea or coffee you can drink! The staff team laughs a lot, pitches in during those “all hands on deck” times, and enjoys celebrating at outings a couple of times a year.

They are now looking for someone with courage, passion, enthusiasm and talent to join them as their new Manager Development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven success in grant writing and securing gifts of $5,000 plus from individuals and foundations. You’ll be a passionate and experienced fundraiser (5 years plus) with excellent communication skills, experience of using a donorbase such as Raiser’s Edge and the tact and diplomacy to form great relationships with donors and supporters. You’ll work with the Director of Marketing and Development and the Executive Director to develop revenue goals, enlist the support of board members and create great donor stewardship activities.

In return, there is a great package and a real chance to grow and develop your career. As well as the great working environment and committed team, there is an excellent salary on offer. Other benefits include: • Funding for professional development • A comprehensive benefits plan including matched group RRSP (after 3 months’ employment) • Paid mobile phone • Paid vacation time. • Lieu time can be accrued for evening/weekend hours worked.
